From burgers to pizza or a healthy snack, UberEATS caters for everyone’s needs and now will be offering extended operating hours for those eaters with late night cravings. From today, select restaurants such as KFC, RocoMamas, Mcdonalds,  and Col’Cacchio, across Johannesburg and Cape Town will now be available from 10pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

So whether eaters are binge watching a new series, have those late night cravings,  or are planning on an all-nighter for their studies, UberEATS will now be at your service with new extended hours, without you having to leave your comfy spot.

Nic Robertson, General Manager for the on-demand food delivery service powered by Uber, UberEATS Middle East and Africa explains, “South Africans do not only expect more cuisine and meal variety, but they also want flexible options in terms of delivery service times.  We’re proud that in conjunction with our restaurant and delivery partners we are innovating and adapting,  to be able to bring UberEATS customers what they want, when they want it!”

Recently, UberEATS rolled out restaurant ratings, where eaters can see how users in their city have rated a specific restaurant, as well as a new “recommended for you” section based on eaters preference. “We are excited to be offering eaters new offerings and features that aren’t available elsewhere, to make their lives that little bit easier,” adds Robertson.

UberEATS is currently operating in Cape Town, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Stellenbosch and based on the success of the app, they have recently launched in Durban with over 1500 restaurants  across these cities.

Extended hours are from 10pm to 12am from select restaurants in selected areas in Joburg and Cape Town, starting 27 November, just in time for the festive season! If you want to see which restaurant or food retailer is available in your area, open you app between 10pm and midnight to find out!
