Thamsanqa Sangweni and Rhulani Manzini commit to Chippa United


There were reports that both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were looking to sign Sangweni in the new season, but Chippa United have moved swiftly to avoid losing him for free.

Executive chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi, has announced that Thamsanqa Sangweni and Rhulani Manzini have extended their stay with the club for a further three years.

The duo’s ontracts were due to expire at the end of 2016/2017 season, and now they are contracted to the Club until the end June 2019/2020 season.

Expressing his delight Mpengesi said; “We are delighted to have reachedagreement with both Thamsanqa Sangweni and Rhulani Manzini. They are both important players for the Team and our ambitions going forward.”

“The extension demonstrates our ambition as a football club to continue to grow and challenge for honors.”

“I would like to thank both players and management for their professionalism during negotiations. We are excited to have both players staying with us long,” Mpengesi concluded.
