“Pretty, irresistible and smartly dressed” Pretoria women arrested for drugging and robbing man.

The Rekord North reports that three people accused of having drugged and robbed a man appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Zanele Mbatha (27), Busisiwe Hlatshwayo (37) and Johannes Chabalala (40) were arrested in Soshanguve on Saturday.

Police stopped them while driving off in the 42-year-old victim’s car.

Mtsweni said the two women and their accomplice were suspected of routinely going on dates with men only to drug and rob them.

They were arrested on Saturday around 01:40 after robbing the Soshanguve man.

“Members of the police Flexi team were doing their routine patrol and also conducting a stop-and-search operation when they came across the three suspects who were in possession of a stolen motor vehicle,” said Mtsweni.

The trio allegedly drugged the owner of the car, a Toyota corolla, and drove off with him while he was sitting unconscious.

They were heading towards Block TT in Soshanguve.

“Police stopped them and asked who the car belonged to. One of the females told the police that the car belonged to the unconscious man on the back seat of the car, and that she was dating him,” said Mtsweni.

The members on duty searched the vehicle and discovered an intoxicating substance in their possession.

Mtsweni said crimes of this nature were often reported to the police station.

“We want to warn people, especially those who like to indulge in night life, to be vigilant,” she said.

The women involved were usually pretty, irresistible, smartly dressed and dangerous.

They frequented expensive pubs and shisa nyamas where the “big guys” hang out. But they were not looking for love or sex.

They pretended to be easy women ready to be picked up by men with money for a night of sex and boozing.

Sometimes, after the hook-up, they asked men to buy condoms on the way to create the impression they were up for it.

They were the first to undress before the men could even ask for sex.

Mtsweni said the docket was still with the court and a date was still to be determined for their next appearance.
