Keeping Up with the Kruger starts this Friday


Every year thousands of tourists flock to one of the wildest places on earth to get up close and personal with majestic and beautiful wildlife, amidst the stunning landscapes of South Africa’s legendary Kruger National Park.

The diversity, density and sheer numbers of animals is almost unparalleled, and all of Africa’s iconic safari species – elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and zebra – live out their dramatic days here, along with a supporting cast of 137 other mammals and over 500 varieties of bird. Now, for what is easily one of the world’s greatest wildlife parks, the Kruger National Park will be getting its own reality show, one that will be just a remote click away.

The new docu-reality series – Keeping Up with the Kruger – on Animal Planet (DStv 183) takes a unique look at the day-to-day life of the beautiful animals that roam the bush-covered expanses of the Kruger.

This story follows the lives of the staff and a team of experts who keep the park running and do everything they can to ensure the animals are well cared for. In-the-field footage, “Diary Cam” interviews and stunning cinematography gives raw insight into those who ensure this precious piece of Africa is protected and enjoyed by all its inhabitants.
