Combine a bit of creative genius, hustle and ambition, that with a variety of distinct, periodic & unique beats and you come up with an urban youth musician called Slang G. The young, passionate, talented and driven creative is currently based in Pretoria.

Slang G. This individual has different skills and has been active in the music industry for quite a while. The young muso decided to combine his experiences and skills to tell his own struggles and stories via hip hop.

Slang G also known as Eben Mdluli is a fast growing, hungry and talented rapper originally from Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga.

“I started making music at age 13 with a small computer and a microphone. Music has always been a part of my life with influences from the likes of Jay Z and Eminem. I have my eyes set on being the greatest ever.” says Slang G

When we asked him why the stage name Slang G, his response: “It serves as an acronym for “Slang The Great” and it shows I will forever move with the times as “Slang” is an ever conversational language/word and makes it easier for my audience to relate to me as an artist since I am speaking their language. I believe that hip hop is like slang because it changes continuously and almost completely reaches the youth and that is what I am here to show in a positive light.”

Slang G has warmed up the stage for big names in the music industry and shared stages with the likes of PRO, AB Crazy, Ifani, Khuli Chana and many others. The humble, sly rapper pointed out that he has received so much support from Bushbuckridge and the Buckbuckridge community radio station (BBR FM).

Launching a clothing label, organizing events , managing new and upcoming artists, DJs, Dancers and other types of entertainers and most importantly giving back to the community.”

Mzansi Fresh wishes Slag G and his fans all the best.

Slang G is on a mission to make a difference in communities of SA. As part of their way of giving back I are work hand in hand with “One Warm Gift” OWM an organisation in Mpumalanga, Bushbuckridge which donates clothes and blankets during the winter for those who are not as fortunate.

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle, that’s what makes me want to make history. In times where there is not much inspiring leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous; skillful young leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better. And they are made just like anything else, through HARD WORK. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal…
