Experience Summer in #NorthernCape

The summer holidays are finally here and for most of South African families this is the one holiday which allows time to re-charge, re-discover, re-connect and enjoy time spent together.

The Northern Cape consists of five different regions, each offering visitors unique experiences as well as the time and space to recharge, rediscover and reconnect with friends, family and loved ones. The province has compiled a colourful summer travel guide with a map to introduce travellers to off-the-beaten track destinations and fun activities for the whole family.

According to Mac Jack, MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, the Northern Cape is definitely a destination for all seasons, but particularly during the summer season with sunny skies and warm, friendly people. “After a stressful year, there is no better way to prepare for your summer holidays than taking a quick break in our beautiful province. Short stop-overs are ideal to explore the hidden gems of the Northern Cape and offer the ideal opportunity to relax and revitalise before reaching your end destination,” he said.

“It is also a great idea to include rest stops during your journey and there are fascinating places to explore along the major roads through the province – whether you are heading to the coast, Namibia or Eastern Cape and even if you’re heading back home,” said Jack.
