Ammara Brown and Micasa to Join Black Coffe for Vic Falls Carnival

on

The Vic Falls Carnival keeps upping the ante by adding more unbelievable acts to this year’s most exciting New Year’s festival. Truly a showcase for the best music in Africa, Zimbabwean cult songstress Ammara Brown will bring her unique afro-dancehall-pop to the main stage, Mi Casa will electrify fans with their cheeky dance moves and uplifting soulful house while Rubber Duc will bust out their fun, satirical indie sound at the falls and of course no Vic Fall’s Carnival would be complete without local DJ Francis taking over the train party for the 6th year!

These acts join the already epic line-up including Africa’s biggest artist, Black Coffee, Congolese producer, songwriter Tresor, South Africa’s electric hair whipping jazz pop-duo, The Kiffness, hip-shaking queen of the stage from Zambia Mampi, Zimbabwe’s founder of Neverland and master of the decks, Jason Le Roux and Vic Falls very own Flying Bantu. You will get to see all of these incredible artists on one of the most picturesque stages in the Southern Hemisphere.

Mi Casa continue to dominate airwaves and the festival scene with their never-ending hits like “Jika”, “These Streets” and “Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend”. Since joining forces over six years ago, they have grown from strength to strength with their ‘familiar’ – made up of producer, DJ and keyboardist, Dr Duda, singer/songwriter, J’Something and trumpeter, Mo-T. Their stage performance is a smooth mix of soulful house with jazz instrumentals, addictive hooks and some insane dance moves. ‘’Our sound and live performances are like no other; reaching and uniting a diversity of people from different backgrounds all in the name of good music,” says Mi Casa. Catch them live on 30th December at the carnival.

Amarra Brown has become one of the most popular acts in Zimbabwe. From humble beginnings, she first rose to fame as a top-five contestant on M-Net’s Idols at the tender age of 19. She has since shared stages with artists such as Oliver Mtukudzi, Kirk Franklin and Hugh Masekela and has performed on many international stages such as Sauti Za Busara and HIFA. Her most recent duet with Tytan, “Mukoko”, has rapidly topped all local charts thanks to her legion adoring of fans. Without a doubt, Ammara is destined for greatness. It’s clear that with every performance she leaves a piece of her soul with the audience, a feat she never fails to deliver on, with professionally packaged choreography, tons of energy and the voice of a true African spirit.
